“Six months ago, I became a vegetarian. I would eat out 18 of 21 meals a week, and I wasn’t sure what I was eating, so I became a vegetarian. I feel healthy and have a lot of energy. Until I know what I’m putting in my body, I’m going to try to eat as much organic as possible. I’m in the best shape of my life and have never felt better.”

During my 2 weeks off, I went to California to visit my friend and forum moderator Kim [dlrgrl1]. While enjoying California, Kim and I got the chance to meet Mama Fuller on 4/9/09! Kim and I met her for lunch and chatted with her for about 2 hours. She is such an absolute sweetheart and we had a great time visiting with her. We heard all about Drew’s childhood and how he got into acting as well as what he likes to do on his weekends while filming “Army Wives”. After spending a week in California, Kim and I then flew to Charleston, South Carolina. It’s so beautiful over there and Kim and I had so much fun walking around downtown. Drew contacted me that same evening and we met him for coffee at his favorite coffee shop the following day on 4/15/09. After chatting with Drew for awhile, he walked on bike with us through a small tour of downtown where we could enjoy some of his favorite restaurants and places to visit. After a big hug goodbye, we watched him ride off on his bike. The following morning, Kim and I were invited to the “Army Wives” set where we got to spend quality time with Drew’s beagle mix Tennessee, we met Sally Pressman and Sterling Brown, we toured the “Army Wives” set, and we sat down with Drew while he autographed some items for us, answered all our questions we had for him, and also took photos with us. After another big hug, we watched him and Tennessee head to his car. You can also read more about our meeting in better detail on the forum. It was such an amazing experience to get to meet Drew in person after all these years. He is the nicest guy ever and I am so honored to run a fan site for him. Thank you so much Drew! Kim will be emailing me some more photos soon and I will post them too. Please don’t post any of these photos anywhere else. Drew and ‘Army Wives” co-star Terry Serpico helped the Red Cross feed about 5,000 soldiers and their families at the deployment ceremony for the 30th Heavy Combat Brigade of the North Carolina National Guard in Fayetteville, NC on 4/14/09. You can read more about it here!
