Lifetime and Hallmark Give Special Holiday Gift to “Army Wives” Viewers

LOS ANGELES, CA — 11/18/09 — Lifetime Television and Hallmark Cards, Inc. are giving fans of the hit series “Army Wives” a special holiday gift this year — a chance to see their three favorite Season Three episodes in back-to-back airings during a mini-marathon Friday, December 4, from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. EST. During that time, fans also will see a heartwarming, holiday-themed “Army Wives Gives Back” segment that features a real-life Army family.

Starting immediately, “Army Wives” viewers can visit myLifetime.com to vote for their favorite episode of Season Three. Lifetime will air the top three choices during the mini-marathon Friday, December 4. During the 10 p.m. episode, Lifetime will air a Hallmark-sponsored “Army Wives Gives Back” segment in which “Army Wives” cast member Wendy Davis helps make a holiday dream come true for a deserving real life Army wife. After the marathon, the segment will also air on myLifetime.com.

“Army Wives Gives Back” is a series of two-minute branded content segments where the stars of “Army Wives” periodically take viewers to real-life army bases and into the homes of truly deserving Army wives and their families. These segments celebrate American military wives and pay tribute to these women’s struggles and sacrifices.

“This partnership is another great example of how Lifetime connects with women, and Hallmark is the perfect partner to have for this multi-platform, holiday integration with ‘Army Wives,’” said Debbie Richman, Executive Vice President, Ad Sales of Lifetime Networks. “We are two strong and trusted brands, and it’s an honor to join together with Hallmark in celebrating military wives and families during this special time of the year.”

Who was that bloody guy at Utah Valley Hospital?

Thanks Kim for finding the article!

If you walked into Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo to visit a hospitalized friend or relative late Saturday afternoon, you might have encountered a man in his late 20s with chiseled features staggering through the main lobby toward the elevator and trailing drops of blood on the floor.

His face was a mess, as if he had just been in an accident or maybe a fight.

If you stuck around for a few minutes, you would have seen him repeat the process, while a movie crew with a shoulder-mounted camera and boom microphones worked through a series of shots.

An independent film company from Salt Lake City was shooting a new feature film at UVRMC called “The Kane Files,” an action thriller whose cast includes veteran Hollywood tough guy-cad-politician William Devane and fashion model-turned-actor Drew Fuller, icon of Lifetime television’s “Army Wives.” Fuller was the bloody guy in the hospital lobby.

The cast also includes Ethan Embry of Showtime’s “Brotherhood.”

Writer-director of “The Kane Files” is Ben Gourley, a graduate of Brigham Young University. Co-producers Jonathan Downs and David Wulf said that the movie company, Aesop Pictures, is all local but draws on talent from California and elsewhere. Executive producer is Taylor Gourley.

The film, Downs said, tells a tale of an ex-assassin who is pulled back into his former life.

Fuller is also slated to appear in an upcoming film, “The Story of Bonnie and Clyde,” as Buck Barrow, older brother of the notorious Clyde Barrow. The film, which is in production and due out next year, recounts the career of the infamous and notoriously violent bank robbing couple and their gang (Cypress Moon Productions).

Ben Gourley’s previous writing and directing credits with Revel Entertainment include “Moving McAllister” (2007) and “Repo” (2009).

Added new (old) publicity images!

I added 3 publicity images of Drew at the “Casanova” New York Premiere on 12/11/05.

Have you noticed we only have one event in the 2009 Publicity gallery so far? Don’t you think Drew needs to go to an event or movie premiere at least once this year and have his picture taken so we can add some new photos?! *hint hint*
