Since April 2005, “action concept cinema” shot a 90-minute long TV movie with an international cast in Berlin. Drew Fuller (“Charmed”), Ken Bones, (Royal Shakespeare Company) and Alison King (“Shanghai Knights”) were cast as the lead characters alongside Tanja Wenzel (“Wilde Engel”). Axel Sand (“Wilde Engel”) directed and shot the movie.
“Dark Ride” is about a young American who works as a courier in Berlin. He’s suddenly drawn into a confusing and dangerous game between an international hitman and the Federal Bureau of Criminal Investigations.
After “Lasko”, “Dark Ride” is already the second English-language movie by Action Concept. “Lasko”, starring Hollywood star Arnold Vosloo (The Mummy), finished shooting in early 2005 and is currently in post-production.
Shooting for “Dark Ride” is scheduled to run until mid-May, then it goes into post-production in our own facilities where Visual Effects (VFX) as well as Special Effects (SFX) will be added. Action Concept Film and Stunt Production is based in Hürth, near Cologne, and is one of the largest full-service stunt production companies worldwide. 150 employees and close to 200 freelance employees produce, among other things, TV highlights such as “Alarm for Cobra 11″.
